Is this Bingo "Really" Licensed With The State Of WV?
Yes, this bingo is officially licensed
and registered with the West Virginia State Tax Department.
That's why if you win a prize with a value over $100
you are required to complete a prize claim form. This is required
by law.
Our bingo permit will be displayed at the event.
Why do we have to do that? I've
never completed a prize form before?
If you've played a basket bingo,
purse bingo or Pampered Chef bingo and didn't have to
complete a prize form it was probably an illegal bingo according to the
State Tax Department. We asked.
So to be legal and on the up and up, you have to fill out the form if
you win a prize over $100.
